
INGREDIENTS
- Juice from one lemon
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of water
- Juice from one lemon
- ½ cup of onions (finely chopped)
- 2 green chillies finely chopped
- ½ cup of coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ¼ cup of wheat flour (for dusting and rolling)
- ¼ cup of vegetable oil for frying the parathas
PREPARATION METHOD
- Combine wheat flour, salt and oil in a bowl. Slowly add water and make a soft dough.Knead well and cover to let it rest whilst you prepare the stuffing.
- Combine chopped onions, green chillies and coriander leaves and salt. Gently mix and keep this ready.
- Divide the dough into equal sized dough balls and roll out each dough ball into a thick chapati. Place some of the onion stuffing in the centre and gather the edges and pinch the dough to seal.
- Dust some flour and roll out as a paratha.
- Light your Envirofit SuperSaver Charcoal Jiko using little charcoal.
- Place your pan on the jiko and add some oil. Once oil is hot, place the paratha to fry.
- Once it browns on one side, flip to the other side and cook again.
- Once done remove the paratha from the pan and repeat the same for the rest of the dough.
- Serve hot with some spicy gravy of your choice, and see your family enjoy and want more!
