COLORADO – Envirofit International Inc. has been selected as one of the ten winners of The Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s “New Energy Pioneers 2017” Award. The awards are presented annually by Bloomberg New Energy Finance to companies from around the world based on their potential to scale, their innovation and momentum. Envirofit International received this recognition for their groundbreaking work making high quality clean cooking technology affordable and accessible to people living in energy poverty, and pioneering sustainable markets for clean cookstoves around the world.
Envirofit CEO Ron Bills is accepting the award on behalf of the company at the Bloomberg Energy Summit in New York City on Monday, April 24. In addition to receiving the award, Mr. Bills will be presenting information about Envirofit to Summit attendees during the special awards session. Mr. BIlls is expected to highlight Envirofit’s recent successes in expanding the company’s product line and service offerings, as well as the role business can play in aiding global development.

Bloomberg New Energy Finance has presented the New Energy Pioneer awards since 2010. Envirofit will be joining previous winners such as d.Light in 2013, M-Kopa Solar in 2014, and Cool Planet in 2016. Winning companies are featured prominently by Bloomberg and also invited to address Future of Energy Summit attendees, a group that includes hundreds of energy industry thought leaders, business executives and policy makers from around the world.
