As a social enterprise and certified B Corp, Envirofit adheres to the triple bottom line business approach that values people, profits and planet. Recently a team from Envirofit Mexico delivered on our commitment to sustainability by volunteering their time on a reforestation effort organized by the State of Mexico Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. The team planted over 300 trees and also had a chance to showcase the Ecofogon Ahorrador plancha stove to residents, community leaders and government officials.
Together, the Envirofit Mexico team accomplished:
- 75 employees donated 12+ hours of their weekend time
- 315 trees were planted
- 200+ people witnessed the Ecofogon perform
- 10 stoves were sold during the demonstration
- 2 new distributors were signed on
Envirofit Mexico’s participation and hard work were noticed by the president of the State Ministry of Family Affairs, who has requested a stove presentation from Envirofit Mexico as soon as possible. Envirofit Mexico has successfully engaged in public/private partnerships in the past and are a preferred partner due to the efficiency of Ecofogon Ahorrador, and because of our ASA 360 program. This program makes us unique among cookstove manufacturers by offering installation and continued support to households who have Envirofit stoves. By engaging in clean energy initiatives of all kinds, Envirofit Mexico has proven our commitment to giving back to the communities we work in across the world.
