Our partners at Solar Sister made this beautiful video, “Sister to Sister, Stove by Stove”, which shows the positive impacts that clean cookstoves have on individuals, households and communities.

Toxic smoke from cooking fires causes more than four million deaths per year and is the single leading cause of death for women and for children under age five in the developing world. Solar Sister is changing this through a sisterhood of clean energy entrepreneurs bringing safe cookstoves to their communities.

Over 2,000 Solar Sister entrepreneurs sell clean cookstoves and solar lights to their communities in Africa, helping in the fight to eliminate millions of premature deaths each year due to cooking fires and indoor smoke inhalation.
